TekAssess is a powerful computer skills assessment tool that accurately measures essential computer knowledge and skills.

TekAssess Overview

TekAssess is a web-based assessment tool that contains two types of modules:

• Performance-based: Test taker will perform various tasks in a simulated computer environment.
   
• Knowledge-based: Test taker will answer multiple choice and true/false questions.

TekAssess may be used independently, or in conjunction with computer training as pre-assessment or post-assessment. The pre and post assessment results are displayed side by side to present a clear view of learner progress.

Integrating TekAssess with Training

TekAssess may be seamlessly integrated with Teknimedia's computer training courses. Based on the assessment results, TekAssess creates an individualized learning path for each learner consisting of the specific course sections that the learner needs to view. The learner may also access all other course sections if desired.

TekAssess and Teknimedia training courses may be purchased and used separately. Organizations may first use TekAssess to assess the training requirements of their learners. Based on the results, they may then purchase the required training courses. Teknimedia courses will automatically include the customized learning path for each learner.

The assessment results of TekAssess may also be used in conjunction with other types of training. Teknimedia offers high quality IC3 textbooks and Microsoft Office textbooks that can be used with TekAssess in instructor-led classes and blended training environments.

Customizing TekAssess

TekAssess may be customized in various ways to suit your requirements. As an administrator, you may:

• Choose whether or not the test modules have a time limit.
• Set the average time limit per task or question.
• Set the maximum number of retries allowed for each task in the performance-based modules.
• Allow users to retake specific assessment modules.
• Make TekAssess "required" or "optional" for a training course.
